I have spent a career developing my moral, mental, and physical strength in the USMC.  I felt the gaze of older age creeping into my joints and waistline.  I began my journey after having a private moment of honesty and a desire to be better than what I was.  I could no longer do isolation workouts for muscle development and cardio 3-4 a week for 30-45 minutes and expect better results.  I must be doing something wrong, I thought.  I looked at many Crossfit boxes online and in my local area and decided on Mighty after meeting Ace and his coaches.  From day one they were supportive, active listeners, and most of all advocates for better physical preparedness.  I embraced the Crossfit methodology, researched & learned more, participated in the games to discover that I was creating my own baseline.  Once in a while I would hear them speak of the 30-day Paleo challenge.  Who wants to do that, yikes!  During the games I decided to give it a try, well partially.  I am now a 80% Paleo and 20% not guy.  I prepare my foods for the work week and err on the side of Paleo on the weekends.  If I slip I know it will be okay because I’m not on a diet.  I have made a lifestyle change with my physical training and how I fuel my body.Like many Crossfit stories the proof in the results.  I went from 195 lbs at my worse and now I hold steady at 170 lbs.  My waistline is down 2.5 inches and I cringe at having to buy a new wardrobe.  Most importantly, I feel lighter, fitter, and my body aches for all the right reasons.  My journey is like so many others’ before, but I would be remissed if I did not write this.  The struggle, the work, and the process to a better you is the Crossfit community.  Never quit on yourself, put one foot in front of the other, and understand that the journey is the process.  The reward comes has you hit benchmarks and see tangle results.  Stay Mighty and know you are in control!  Special shout out to coach Bob, you are awesome bro.
