The successes of eccentric training stretch far beyond areas of the weight room. Here it is used to elongate the smaller muscle groups of the shoulder and triceps. We propped the athletes on a paralettes to have them work at a deficit so that they can train the threshold of those muscles in an area they are not use to working. Typically these are muscle groups that fail prior to loss mid-line stability.
