I know how much you hate this but had to bring a light to your story…

Robert’s initial goal in joining CrossFit was to get stronger and get bigger. I proceeded to ask him what that meant to him. “Well, I want to fill in my shirts more, get a heavier bench press, and I really could care less about doing the “CrossFit” workouts.” Alright, no problem. Just understand that this commitment requires dedication to your training, nutrition, and it’s going to be boring. “No problem, I can do that.”

Fast forward to two dedicated months later of his own specific program, he now fills out his shirts. A little bit heavier than he is comfortable with but if I’m not mistaken he has smashed every single lift that he came in here with by 20 lbs.

Point of the story: he defined his goal, was honest with himself, and did what it took to get there.

It’s stories like this that make my chosen path worth while. Thanks Rob.
